Something's Fishy at the Hatchery

Brian and I are on a short road trip right now and we started off with a trip to the fish hatchery!

Talk about excitement!

(Since I am doing this post on my I-Pad, I can't enlarge these, but just think BIG, OK?)

Of course we went directly to the food dispenser!

                                                                    Speckled Trout.

                                                                      Speckled Trout.

                                                             More Speckled Trout!

Can you guess what kind of fish they produce at this hatchery?

It's back on the road today.  Raise your hand if you love road trips!  Ah yes, that's what I thought!

You are indeed my kind of people.

"Love road trips,"she said with hand raised and waving wildly.
Kia is a cutie pie but then you already knew that.

I do not enjoy road trips, but I do like reading about them. Speckled trout, eh? My father used to take us trout fishing in the little brook close to our home. I couldn't do it now, but I was an enthusiastic fisher-girl at that age :)

I've never been to a fish hatchery. I enjoyed your pictures. I enjoy road trips too. :)

So I guess these trout come from speckled eggs then right? :)

We used to take our kids to the fish hatchery a lot when they were little. It was walking distance from my parents and set back in the woods. Often we'd see deer or wild turkeys on our walk there and once a huge snapping turtle.

I love to travel by car. I think you see so much more that way. And you can always find cool stuff to do along the way.

What kind of fish were there?

;)

When you said food dispenser, I was hoping you were talking about the trout. You already know how much I love road trips. We're away from home for two weeks at this very minute.

I do love Road Trips. And I recall visiting a fish hatchery once - somewhere in western Wyoming. Middle son was a fisheries and wildlife major so I tagged along for the visit. Didn't last too long, so it was okay.

Something fishy about your absence. Not really. I'm sure you're having fun. Hope all is well with you.
