What Betty's Feet Are Wearing This Season

Oh. My. Gosh.  It's time to take a break from my soul-searing commentary (I hear you cheering out there!) to focus on the really important issues in life like leisure-time footwear.

As many of you know, I love to walk.  Kia Louise and I are up every morning for a three-mile jaunt.  In the past I've had some pretty good shoes and some pretty good socks, but recently the stars aligned and I got new ones of both at the SAME TIME!  Ahhhhhhhhhhh!

This is my second pair of Brooks Glycerin 11 shoes.  The company is coming out with 12 any day now,  but I'm an impatient badger who couldn't wait so I bought another pair of 11's.

I have been a Thorlo girl for years, but these super-duper Distance Walking socks rock my world.  Seriously.

With these socks and these shoes, I am a very happy maniacal walker!  It's like I have tiny mattresses and box springs strapped to my feet.

I don't believe I have every written about my fitbit, but it is an important part of my life.

Do you have one?  Wouldn't you like a long, detailed post about mine?

Wishing you happy, healthy days!

I don't have a fitbit...don't know what it is but we know BB will tell us. Kia Louise I love it...I wish I had a middle name. My full name is Madi(son) D. Cat.

Mom is a walker too. I cannot tell you how happy she was to get back to her regularly scheduled walking today. For the last 3 weeks she was sidelined with the curse of the sciatica. She could not even put her foot down without pain. Glory Days are back

I wish I'd have had a pair of those socks for my walk in NYC! Now I have a huge blister and must wear open back shoes for my physical therapy.

I will have to look into those shoes as well. I could use an inner spring mattress for my tootsies!

I don't know what a fitbit is either, but I do know walking is good for you!

Those sound like great shoes, but when the 12s come out, you'll be putting you feet into old-fashioned shoes - do you realize that?? ;-) I have tried shoes like NB and Reebok and although they feel cushiony, I need the support of my good old Wolverine hikers. And I've never tried those socks. I use Wigwam Merino wool - year round. no kidding. I'm sure I should find out what a fitbit is and also that little digital readout. Who knew that there is something else I should be worrying about. lol

I don't walk too much, to be honest. Only when cat-seeing is involved ;-)

I am way into shoes, especially my workout shoes, and yours are dandy. I also have a Fitbit and a Body Bug. Those socks look great- I'm looking for some good ones for jogging-

I actually would like a long, detailed post about your Fitbit. I've read a couple of others' posts about them and am intrigued. I'd love to read a review with your twist of humour. Maybe the fitbit people are listing...

I could seriously use some mattresses and box springs for my feet :)
I've heard of those fit bits but don't have one. I did think about buying one though.

Good timing on your post, I'm looking for some new walking shoes. Cushy with a good arch support makes me a very happy girl.

Yay I love new shoes!! I don't have a fitbit, but I have an app that my phone came with that pretty much does the same thing. I like it.
