Gotta love the quinoa! I get the tri-colored kind and cook up a big batch in my rice cooker. Then I throw it in everything I make.
This past week I was in the mood for a light kind of salad, so I mixed the quinoa with mini cucumbers and mixed it all together with seasoned rice vinegar. It was great!
This simple salad will rock your socks!

I don't think (I'm scared to confess) I've ever tried quinoa. It looks good!
Bucket list!!
I love a good salad and am into anything healthy. I have quiona in granola over yogurt. My favorite!
Wishing you a most wonderful weekend Betty!

I looked up quinoa and it is a species of goosefoot. That did it for me!
I love quinoa! It's ultra-healthy, too~
Goosefoot? That stuff is made from geese?
Looks good and tasty.
I love quinoa too--never thought of cooking it in the rice maker.
I love it also... even if I did mispronounce it for many years. That looks yummy,

Mom's mouth is watering...she is not familiar with quinoa but she just might have to search for it at Whole foods.

I used some in black bean burgers the other day (I'll give the link below) and they were really good. That was my first experience with it. I'll have to try it in my rice cooker - good idea!

looks inviting, a grain I haven't tried
It looks and sounds delicious. Yummy.
I hate to admit it but I have no idea what Quinoa is.
Betty, a woman after my own heart, I love quinoa! My wife will not try and accuses me of liking it so I can walk around discussing and saying, "Quinoa". She thinks it looks yucky.
Anyway, this is a great idea and I had been looking for something new to make with it. I am going to make some of this salad this weekend! Thanks for the tip!
(Don't her but I DO like saying quinoa!)
Even with a picture, I have no idea what a quinoa is :/
strange I just saw quinoa for

had no idea what it was until
reading the packaging
I don't think I have ever tasted this. Will give it a try...looks so yummy!

I'm heading down to the quinoa store right now!
I discovered Quinoa last year and LOVE IT. I have the cookbook called POWER FOODS and have found many terrific recipes with quinoa. YUM.

I hear so much about quinoa, but I've never tried it. Maybe one of these days I'll get brave and try it. That looks nummy enough to give me a little push. :)
Thanks for the idea of cooking this in the rice cooker. Do you follow the directions on the package? I'll try it.
Quinoa? What the heck is quinoa? Not that it looks bad, hey I'll eat anything...
