Vacay Pictures Continued: Scotland!

After London we headed to Edinburgh, Scotland.

It was fabulous!  What a wonderful city!

My ancestors came from Scotland so I lost no time in finding my family tartan and throwing those colors around my neck.

Do I look like I have come to reclaim my lands?

This is not a great picture of the Walter Scott Memorial, but climbing to the top was one of the highlights of the trip for me!

This was such a special trip for me!

I will never forget it.

I want to thank a Certain Very Nice Man for inviting me to go with him!

Coming Soon:  Betty's Home Renovation Update.

(Hint: I am currently living in a hotel.)

I've been there! One of the coolest cities in the world. Did you take the ghost tour through the haunted underground?

Beautiful.

Why can't a certain nice man take me to Europe? OH wait! I married a certain nice man who is from Portugal and refuses to go back.

I guess maybe he's not that nice...

Oh, how lovely! I've been an anglophile as long as I can remember but Scotland became an interest after reading some of Rosemunde Pilcher's books. And then the Outlander series clinched the deal. I'm so glad you got this opportunity, even if it makes me feel a twinge of envy. ;)

So what are the chances that your renovated house will look like those castles behind you, in your photos? Hey, it was just a thought :)

Scotland, wow! I would love to go there. It is on my list. I went to Wales when I was over that way because my ancestors were from there. I also have ancestors from Scotland. I have to go there next.

You look so happy. This is a great thing.

My mother's father's side of the family are from Scotland- the Campbell Clan and our tartan is the dark green and blue. I have never been over there but our oldest went on her honeymoon and was quickly accepted by the locals who regaled her with tales of the Campbell Clan! She had a blast and both she and BestSonInLawEVER were ready to move there right then!

Never been past the airport but hope someday to visit more. I find it cool that there are not the glass towers that are so prominent in recently constructed cities.
