Still living at the hotel.
I've caught some sort of bug and have been hacking and coughing up some pretty chunky stuff.
Sigh.
Here's what's happening at the house.
Master Bedroom
Living Room
Bathroom.
Dining Room
(Note the progress. New Floors!)
Evan's Room. Floor halfway done.
Ah, my people.
I am hanging in there but also going slightly crazy.

Yikes! What a project. I hope it will be worth it in the end, though.
At least there is some progress!
I'm so sorry to hear you aren't feeling well, Betty. I hope you feel better soon. At least you can see progress being made with the renovations. Hugs to you.
Get well! Place is looking nice!
Rest. Then, take a nap. Think about going to bed early. Then do it.
Look at it this way (hope this makes you feel better...) Whenever we do any sort of renovation, we have to live in the house while we're working on it. Including redoing our bathroom. Of which we have one. Yes, one.
Never had to go so bad in my life as when we had no toilet for about three hours.
Sorry to hear you are ill. But your house is starting to show some real progress so rejoice! Hope you feel better and are sleeping in your own bed soon.
Holy smokes, girl! But the floors look great so far!
I have an idea....get "Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House" or "The Money Pit". Laugh it up!!! At least you won't have a turkey catapulting through your kitchen window!
Sorry to hear you are down with your health.I had the laminate put down last week at my house, but wasn't there.
Oh dear. I sure hope dusting is included in their cleanup clause. Why the HAIL didn't they cover your dining room table??
If you're still stuck in a hotel room next weekend, come pop by our house and we can try Miss Chef's beer a week early. I think it's called for.
Oh no!! Please get better BB!!! The horror of your renovation must have hit you after your wonderful holiday! Poor you!! Oh but look!! The floor of Evan's room is nearly done! Yay! Progress!! Keep hanging on, BB!! Take care
x
Maybe you need another trip. ;) Hope you're feeling better before too long.
You're getting rid of stuff inside and out. It can only get better.
it will eventually come to an end with a whole new house for your whole new life.
but I gotta tell you, after working for clients who were having remodels done, I have vowed to never succumb to the temptation.
The walls take forever with the several layers of crack filling and sanding and whatnot - you're on the home stretch if they're doing the floors, Betty. Try to get lots of rest and fluids while you wait.
I'm sorry you're sick. :( At least you're not inhaling all of that stuff at your house too much. I hope you feel better soon!! Yay for the progress at your house, that's exciting. :)
Bless your heart...get to feeling better soon.
Quite frankly tho, I'm surprised there is as much progress as pictured!
The workers have managed to mess up every part of your house without finishing anything. Hope you feel better.
YAY, done at last!
I am a bit jealous. I have had to live in every reno we have ever done.
All the rooms look about the same. Looks like still a long way to go. I hope they work fast :) Feel better soon
I simply LOVE what you've done with the place! It's so reno-chic! ;-)
Feel better soon and know that the end is in sight!
That is a serious undertaking...I might get slightly ill just imagining all that work. I believe it'll look great when done.
Wow, that is some renovation! How much longer is it gonna take?
I was hoping the renovations would be almost complete by your return...
hang in there... next year this will be a faded memory ( hope so...)
I can't imagine having to go through all that... but I can't imagine a renovation, either. Feel better.
I think we all go slightly crazy at one point or another.
I would go crazy too!! Hang in there girl.,.,it will be so worth it!!
Hugs
SueAnn
So sorry you got sick! And hoping you're all better by now! And that these guys get this stuff finished SOON!
I've lived through this a couple of times. The last time, I did most of the work myself. That way I had no one to blame for slow progress but myself. It darn near killed me...
I hope the end is in sight so that you can spend some quality time in your home with Evan! good luck!
