Monday Morning Flowers and Weekend Update

Good Monday Morning to you all!

Here are your Monday Morning Flowers

Sorry there aren't more but I've been a little busy.

The cats and I moved to Motel Six for two nights, then came back home.

My popcorn ceiling had been replaced with this:

The electrician came and put in recessed lights.

As you may remember, all my earthly possessions are currently shoved in the garage.  On Saturday the door broke.  On Saturday night a repair man came and did did a very expensive repair.  Yikes.

Last night, I couldn't take it anymore and broke open the plastic covering on the bathroom sink nearest the little back room I am currently living in.

People, I am exhausted!  This home improvement stuff is crazy-making.

Tomorrow--more fun with electricity and ceilings.  Oh, and I am going to crawl through the garage and look for the dresser with my clothes in it.  I am tired of wearing the same ones.

Take care of yourselves!

This is quite the adventure. I just know you're going to have great stories from it.

Have a great week.

Oh my sweet friend I've lived through (yes you will survive) several renovations. The last in this house, I hope, was gutting the 26 year old kitchen. Well worth every moment of misery. Our contractor was extremely organized it took exactly 30 days!!
Not bad at all and my culinary skills remained in tact.

It sure looks like a lot of upheaval but I can only imagine how lovely it will be when it's done. Remember to stop and smell those beautiful flowers occasionally.

Progress is being made. Hang in there, Betty. It will all be worth it once it is done. Thank you for the lovely flowers. I hope this week goes smoothly for you. You're juggling a lot there. Don't forget to take care of yourself too! Hugs to you.

This sounds like a great time to take an extended vacation. Except you have to be around to supervise. Backyard camping? Urgh.

So how did the cats like their motel stay? Did you let them order movies and jump on the bed?

It will be over soon! Although I do hope you find your clothes.

Nothing worse than living with renovations... been there, suffered but so glad of the end result! Sure you will be too :-)

Several years ago we gutted and remodeled our kitchen. What was supposed to be a 6 week project turned into about 6 months. That's why I haven't had the courage to tackle the guest bathroom yet. I empathize but as others have said, when it's done you will love it. Hang in there!

Looks like a mess.I guess your ceiling was some kind of asbestos product.

Not a fun time, that is for sure. I've lived through this before, and in the end it is worth it. Getting there is another story.

Thank you for thoughtfully giving us our flowers though your life is in an upheaval. Perhaps your homeowner's insurance covers the garage door? Fingers crossed.

Happy Monday! Can't wait to see the exciting reveal. I'm sure you can't wait either. :)

Just think of how much you are going to enjoy it once it's all finished. And it's ALL YOURS :)

I feel for you! I truly do! I'm not looking forward to the major repairs we have to do. Which is good since someone has been putting it off for YEARS.

I still cringe thinking of the
repairs we did on my first house..
never rent to yuppie students....

It's NEVER a fun thing while it's happening, but when it's done, yahoo!

You must be miserable, I know I would be. Where is Samantha from Bewitched when you need her...imagine just a little nose wiggle and it's done!! Soon though!

'Twill be worth it in the end...cats in a motel a story in itself...

I hope for your sake it doesn't take too much longer for it to be done. I am glad you're not still stuck in Motel 6. That would be interesting. Good luck finding your clothes!!

There is nothing worse than trying to live through a reno. Ugh. I wanna be one of those "rich" folk who get to move out for the reno!!!!

The garage door "broke", did it? Are you quite sure that the garage didn't explode instead? That's a lot of stuff, and some of it appears to have been blown out onto the driveway :)

You have my sympathy on the renovations and going batty waiting to be done. Hope it won't be long now.
