Finals Week!

Here's the reason I have not been able to post or visit blogs very much lately!

It's finals week and the papers have been coming in non-stop.
These are just some of them, waiting for my attention.

(Let's not even talk about the online grading I need to do for two of my classes or the fact that the yellow folder will fill up tomorrow with 25 more research papers and 25 in-class essays.)

Tonight before I left campus, I put this note on top of the stack:

It was a note to remind me what I needed to do tomorrow, but then I had a thought.

Suppose someone comes to my office tonight, sees the note and grades them all?

Hummmm.....

I'll let you know if it works!

Happy Thursday, everybody!

Hope you're popping some extra Vitamin C for your peepers. That's a lot of gradin' to do, lady! Happy Thursday! ☺

Ooooh, to have a little grade fairy, eh? Gosh, you certainly look to have your time fairly mapped out for the foreseeable future - good luck!

Gremlin graders! It could happen.

I keep reminding my sons in college that those professors who assign papers have to grade them. Surprise that you still do paper papers still. All of their papers have to be turned in viva blackboard and always by midnight of the due date.

LOL it would be very nice if there was a 'grading fairy' living in your office. I once waited for days for the upstairs fairy to clean up but she was on strike.

Great idea. I sure hope it works.
That aside, best of luck with the load.

Just like the shoemaker who has little elves come in each night to make his shoes, I've wished for someone like that to come in and grade my essays. Hasn't happened in all the 29 years I've been teaching, but maybe, someday, you just never know.

See, you should have just done multiple choice. That's what you get for actually caring that your students learn something.

Don't forget to stock up on wine--essential grading supply!

You may never want to read again after reading and grading all those essays. There might be some good blog fodder in them, though. Would that be ethical? ;)

You just GOTTA tell us if it works. Because if it does I am going to start sticking post it notes on EVERYTHING.....this needs to be dusted, that needs to be filed, this needs washing; etc.

Now, wouldn't that be nice? A grading fairy just might visit your office.

Flashbacks to my days in the classroom and those final portfolios. I loved grading them, though, and learning what my kids had learned during the year.

Dear Betty, good luck with all that work.;) I guess it is a busy time for you.;)
I am back after a long break and am looking forward to catch up with you and everyone else and to start blogging on regular bases again.;) Particularly now, when the love of my life is away for 4 months, I have to keep busy to survive this separation.
I hope you have been well and are starting to "live" again. I love your header picture, what a colour.;)
