Avocado Festival!

Yesterday was a beautiful day, so my friend Lori and I went to the Avocado Festival in Carpinteria.

Naturally, she got emotionally attached the large, inflatable avocado near the entrance.

I finally lured her away with the promise of some good guacamole.

It was REALLY good!

There were plenty of green beauties all around....

The line at the avocado ice cream stand was too long for us, but there's always next year!

Happy Sundays to You!

As much as I love avocados and ice cream, avocado ice cream sounds like -well- it'd need some chocolate sauce.
Keep enjoying life's treasures.

I'm not a fan of avocados, but I think the promise of a street fair and nice weather would have lured me out.

The most amazing part of this post was that there was a line of people waiting to get their avocado ice cream. Guacamole, I could understand. Avocado ice cream? Not so much.

These festivals rule! I am so jealous. We have a garlic festival here in MN that my family and friends adore. Next year we hope to hit the rutabaga festival.
