Weekend Update!

Hello, My People!

I am back from my big weekend up north.

It was a another wild time!

We went to the poetry reading. (It was good!)

Jim made cookies for the first time in his life!

They were great! We agreed that he should make them more often.
Jim is looking for a romantic relationship.
Don't you think any woman would be attracted to a man who makes great cookies?

We visited a winery.

We explored the towns of the Sacramento Delta!

We stopped at the Ryde Hotel which has a basement that was a speakeasy in the 1920's.

Gotta love that river....

And that Noki! What a great kitten!

(He is my godcat, so I am a little prejudiced.)

It was a fun-filled weekend. Other activities included the "First Line Game" in which we quoted looked up first lines of novels and poems and then guessed the title. Whoooo!

Hope you all had good weekends!

What a great trip! Love the little cat. So cute.

And as a woman looking for a romantic relationship -- making cookies is one of the top 10 perequisites. Just saying.

And I'm not really here, I'm still away on blogcation -- just couldn't resist saying hi.

I think if there isn't a woman who's attracted to a man who makes good cookies, there is something wrong with her. Sounds like you had a fun trip. :)

"Godcat" ~ first time I've heard that, lol. He is a cute kittie.

Noki really is a cute kitty!

Don't know any single gals around but plenty who might, at any given time, be willing to leave their husbands for someone who bakes cookies! LOL

Looks like you were busy! Glad your friend learned how to make cookies. I think my wife finds it sexy I can make cookies. Or maybe she just likes the cookies...

Once word gets out that Jim is a cookie maker, women will be lining up.
Cute photo of Noki too.
I am glad you had such a good time.

Cheeseboy said...

I don't know any women that would be interested, but for enough cookies, I might.

Ms. A said...

Why exactly is this man not already in a romantic relationship??? Whatever the reason, the cookies certainly won't hurt his chances! Heck, he has a mixer, he's slim and has a full head of hair. I'm surprised he isn't bombarded with women!

Sounds like a lot of fun! Glad you are back.

Sounds like you had fun! Love that kitty!

I'm giggling at Ms. A's comment, too!

You are having a great summer.

So, how do we connect Jim with the women we know looking for a man?

Gigi said...

You wild woman, you! Sounds like a wonderful time. And why do I get the feeling that you will be setting up an online dating service for Jim here soon?

Ann said...

Before I offer up any of my single friends to Jim what guarantee do I have that he will continue to bake great cookies once they are well in to this romantic relationship?

Rawknrobyn.blogspot.com said...

Eh Hmmm, Miss Betty, did you say Jim makes great cookies? With chocolate chips? Did you mention he's single? He lives in Northern California? Eh Hmm...just asking.
PS With lots of chocolate chips?

A man who can bake is a hot commodity, indeed.

Sounds like the perfect weekend.

I'm not technically (or any -ally) available for a romantic relationship, but for the right cookie I might be willing to make googily eyes and say "mmm."

Beautiful cat. He's my blogging buddy's godcat, so I might be predjudiced, too.

PS When I saw "Weekend Update" I thought I might have been especially lax in my blog reading duties *again*. Whew!
