More Colorado Vacay Pictures

Ready for more pictures?

We had a lot of family time on this vacation. Apparently, it wore out Preston, my nephew and father of three beautiful children.

With him is a large doll which originally belonged to my niece. Over the years "Pretty" has become worn-down and more than a little creepy. We had a good time placing Pretty in various locations around the house.

As a joke, we placed Pretty with the sleeping Preston.

Pretty was not treated with respect once he awoke and discovered her beside him.

Poor Pretty.

Here I am with my fantastic sisters at the wedding!

Pretty was unable to attend.

Red Rocks Amphitheater.

My nephew, Jack, and his wife, Jillian bought their first house recently!

They are very proud of it and took us on a tour.

My nephew, Mekhi, a true Colorado boy, making a splash in a mountain lake.

Just before we left, I secretly put Pretty in the pantry at my sister's house and shut the door.

Hey, it could have been worse.

The knife I tried to put in her little plastic hand kept falling out.

Pretty, Groom of Pretty (I suppose in this age I could say Bride of Pretty) and several other sequels yet to come, I hope.

Oh my, you are evil, aren't you? I assume Pretty was unable to attend the wedding because she was at the doll hospital after her run-in with Preston.

That's an adorable little front porch on the new house! I love the flowers and decorations. Wish I could keep my house looking so attractive.

As my mother always used to say to me...pretty is as pretty does... wonder what she would have thought of your pretty in the pantry? LOL

You do have lovely sisters...and so do they. I think we need a follow-up post on Pretty's discovery in the pantry...like who found her and what the reaction was.

PS...We have a LuLu who gets passed around...and a little singing chipmunk for anyone who acts like a jerk. It sings 'You're the Devil in Disguise'.

Great pictures and love your sense of humor. Is Pretty a distant relative of Chucky? I thought I saw a resemblence.

I would scream like a banshee if "Pretty" popped out of my pantry.

Love your pictures. We have a stuffed animal at work with a really creepy, plastic-eyed glare and place it in people's desk drawers or any where it might startle someone. We have to come up a name for it.

LOL, you are a character. The house your nephew and his wife bought is so cute. A storybook type of house. I hope they will have many happy years there. I hope your sister didn't get too much of a fright.

It looks like you were up at Dillon Lake. Am I correct?

Your nephew's house looks like a doll house. I love it!

Perchance I missed if you said where you are in the birth order with your sister? I am also one of five sisters and we have a brother who was the caboose. Poor lad is still requiring therapy. *Not really, I hope!

Love the last pose of pretty...a real sisterly act!

Hi Me Again! I used this quote for a birthday posting for my oldest sister. I think it captures the love and importance siblings have throughout life!
Hope you Enjoy....

To the outside world we all grow old. But not to brothers and sisters. We know each other as we always were. We know each other's hearts. We share private family jokes. We remember family feuds and secrets, family griefs and joys. We live outside the touch of time. ~Clara Ortega

If only Pretty were here right now, I could take a similar photo of her with Tom.

Your family is beautiful. I don't know why... maybe it was your old camera?... but HOB always looked older to me than he did in these recent pics. That is HOB, right?

:+)
