Berry, Berry Nice!

Hey, People!

I had a little gum surgery yesterday which kept me from pestering you on your blogs.

I am doing fine and have eaten an incredible amount of tapioca pudding.

Tomorrow, I tackle a box of these beauties that I bought at the local farmers' market.

In other news:

We are eagerly awaiting Sonny Boy and his girlfriend who are moving home from college today.
They will be with us for a month before they set out to Virginia for graduate school.

I intend to exercise all my mothering ya-yas while they are here.

Happy Wednesdays to you all!

Ouch! I'd hold off one more day before trying the berries. You're a brave, brave woman, Miss Betty. ☺
Hope you're feeling better soon.

Can't wait to hear about your ya-yas. I'll be taking notes for the day I cross that bridge. Happy Wednesday! ☺

Glad to hear your surgery went well. :)

Have fun spoiling your son!

First: get well soon!

Second: what a glorious picture! There's enough antioxidants in there to keep you around till Sonny Boy himself has his own grandkids!

Purée them berries with a little sugar, pour them on your tapioca and live a little!

Mmmm. Smoosh some of those raspberries in the tapioca when you're feeling up to it.

And I hope you're feeling up to it soon!

Well, look on the bright side: it'll be good for at least a 5 lb weight loss.

Always a silver lining.

Still, OUCH.

Hope the gums heal up quickly. We certainly hope you impose some motherly stuff on the kids coming home.
Those berries look so darn good. I have a blueberry bush so I have plenty of those anyway.

Guess this means we can commiserate next month---Birdie heads out for grad school then too...only to Texas. I wish it was VA--so much closer to SC!

Ouchy! I hope your gums are all better quickly! I know you sure will enjoy your visit!!!

HOpe you're mouth is all healed quickly. Spoil the crap out of them while they are there. It sounds like they deserve it.

Those berries are sooo enticing, but I think you should stick to tapioca another day. Or introduce a few berries at a time.

Enjoy your mothering time!

The best part of gum surgery is the gum surgery drugs. Am I right?

Great pics, as always, Bossy.

Were those berries like that when you got there or did you do some rearranging? I love how they look like a quilt, a quilt of berries. Beautiful and yummy at the same time.

Careful eating all those berries! We know what happens when birds eat too many of them!

Enjoy your time with sonny boy!

the surgery doesn't sound fun. I am picking a few berries, I made blintzes with some blueberries for a group last week.

Awe - I love that you'll be able to put some of those good motherly ways to work when Sonny Boy and his girlie are with you. So cute!

Hope the gums are healing and you're back to normal soon.

Oh, the picture of these berries - Mmmmm mmmmm good! Can I have some?

Beautiful berries!! I'm sure you are glad your oral work is over! I enjoy your visits. :)

I hope you recovered quickly - that didn't sound like any fun at all. The berries look wonderful. Plenty of whipped cream should make them go down even easier.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Hope you have a great holiday weekend!

I am so woefully behind. I hope you are completely recovered from the gum surgery, that the berries were as delicious as they look, and that Sonny Boy and his girlfriend are thoroughly delighted with your mothering ya-yas!
