Monday Morning Flowers!

HOB was passing by as I was reading your comments yesterday.

I looked up at him, a little teary-eyed and said, "I love my blogging buddies."

It is true.

Really, thanks so much for understanding and giving me so much support.

I hope come through for you when you need it as well.

Now, on to your flower delivery....

Here's what you are to me, my darlings!

Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another, 'What! You too? I thought I was the only one.'

I missed yesterday's post and I didn't want to add to the 59 comments, so I'll comment here. :)

Wow. You have some things goin' on, pally! There is so much happy and sad--all at once. And I'm sure that is very hard to process.

I'm like you with all these changes--happy, sad, excited, etc., but how I chose to react for the moment is all in my state of mind. If the sun is shining, I'm all "Hey, great! My kid is going to start some new adventure". But if it is the middle of the night or I've got the sniffles, I'm all "Crap. The kid is leaving me and I'm gonna miss him". It's a mixed bag of emotion.

I think the hardest must be your mom, for there isn't much fun there. Sigh. You know that she will be taken care of, but.....

I'm sorry you have all of this going on, pally. I'm just hoping that Chicago is half-way on your trip to Virginia so you can stop here for a cocktail and a laugh on your way there and back. :)

These milestones in our lives are so breathtaking even though we know they are coming. We can never really prepare, although we see others make it through, it still is as if it only happened to us.

Betty,
The flowers are lovely and I share your sentiment of your blog friends...it is how I feel as well and couldn't have imagined that strong pull when this all began for me less than a year ago.
I was also able to catch up on your previous posts since we didn't have school today as a result of the tornadoes in NC...
I am sorry to hear about your Mom and the need to move her into a nursing home. And you know what, I have the same feeling aoubt 'feeling' that you expressed...I remember hearing the death of someone and totally being 'thrown' into a tailspin and now, it's not that I care 'less' but I've realized that it's what life comes to and well, it's just all enmeshed in my feelings of spirituality, etc...I know that's not a very good explanation but it's like your quote at the end about friends.
Hugs to you Betty!

Beautiful flowers as always Betty. I took Monday off from blogging so I'm getting my fill of the blooms today.

I just read your post below about your mother. The move to a nursing home is always a hard decision but there comes a time when it has to be. It's been just over a year ago that we did the same with my mom.

My thoughts are with you for the coming days.
