It's April. No Fooling.

This is what my calendar for April resembles.

Day after day of classes, meetings, appointments.

It's going to be a full month.

Taking a deep breath now, trying not to feel overwhelmed.

And yet, when I look ahead at all the notations on the calendar, I feel like each day is a room that needs to be cleaned out.

And I'm the maid who's gotta do it.

How does your April look?

Ain't it the truth, Betty! My April is full and it's only Day One. Yikes!

Here's hoping we can throw a Margarita night into the schedule. Wishing you were closer so I could pass the pitcher to you. :o)

Happy Friday!

Retired...so only a sprinkle of stuff to do and meetings to attend. You will (may) be there someday.

Betty, you need to get a new calendar! :D Maybe if you go in those rooms looking for bouquets of flowers and chocolate sundaes to enjoy instead of furniture to dust, it won't be so overwhelming. :)

Happy April to you. You'll get through it. It will probably go much quicker than you think.

I don't like to say this, but...I really HATE April. It's my busiest month next to November and December. We'll get thru it though. :-)

I am hoping April is filled with warm rain, green grass and tree blossoms!

Sounds like you are in for a busy month my friend ~ one step at a time!! :)

Happy Weekend dear Betty!

I suppose there's some comfort in knowing you're needed.
My month? Optimistic. I posted green bananas today.

What a clever analogy! At least you have a good sense of humour and a creative eye, so it shouldn't be as bad as you're imagining :)

And don't forget, it's one of the shortest months of the year and with the Easter holiday thrown into the mix, so it will be over before you've blinked!

My April is a mixture, I am doing the A to Z Challange, I have 2 hospital appointments and we here in the UK have a Royal Wedding on the 29th,

Hope your's is good.

My calender says to go out and play hard. I have two engagements for the month, and one is a four day trip.

Happy April! We have a snow day here. Boo! I am thankful for the three day weekend though! :-)

My April isn't too busy, but my March looked like your April. One day at a time!

I dunno...my next quarter begins Monday. I haven't been looking too closely at my calendar, partly in self-defense. I figure, "I've done it before, and I don't know how, but I'll do it again."

'Cause that's how I roll, baby. ;)

I like that, Betty . . . the "each day is a room that needs to be cleaned out. And I'm the maid who's gotta do it." You are brilliant.

I'm right there with you, and I think if I approach it this way, it will be a successful month. What do you think?

Hang in there ... I'm going to start it all with a lovely glass of wine tonight, and then see where it will all take me.

April is shaping up to be pretty busy for us too. I try to plan fun things and yummy recipes to try through out the month so that I have planned breaks from all the stress.

Very clever, BB. Love the image you chose to represent your calendar, both in the photograph and the words. I'm retired, so my April is not looking stressful but, rather, full of promise of spring. And I'm ready. Hang in there. School will be out soon.

Not too bad...Just work for hubby and I.
Happy weekend to you!

As it's day one of the A to Z Challenge, I'm guessing April will be borderline insane.
Be sure to check out my post for B tomorrow, Betty!

Yep, my April, May, and June. I'm so overwhelmed with shit to do :-/

Thankfully, not like yours! My April can't be set on a calendar. It's just fly by the seat of the pants! Uncharted, unprepared, much like every other day of my life.

Sara said...

Your April is sounding like my March! Sound the alarms when you need me to send over emergency chocolate chip cookies. They really can be miracle workers.

Jamie said...

Wow! Umm...busy much? At least April is one of the shorter months! Does that help? Thanks for following me at my blog! I'm new at this, but trying hard! I appreciate you taking the time to visit and follow!

Sonora said...

Wow, my April is much less stressful than yours. Just try to take it a day at a time. Plus, each day that you get done, you can relax a little because one more "room" is cleaned out. Good luck!

That's a darn big calendar!

BB, you should scroll up and down real fast past the photo on your blog, and you start to feel dizzy! Have a great weekend!

Hey, you changed your picture! I want April to warm up and act like spring.

Bummer for you. April started with a bang for me.

I pulled an April Fool's Day prank today on some students. Come by my blog to check out the video

I love that Bossy Betty's gone Bananas! ;-)

Looking forward to April - hmmm, not much on my calendar. Just hoping that Spring finally springs in and stays for a bit. Have a great weekend, Betty!

If this makes you feel better, you have my dream job. I wish that I could be a teacher, but I really don't want to turn back time as I have fondness for the days I raised my kids. I could go back to school to get the sixty credits I need, ( NY state gives me only sixty credits for my degree of four years from India). The only hitch I have is that they are laying off teachers.
I am sure that you are a great teacher.

That was March for me. Luckily April is looking up.

My April calendar looks a bit like yours, but I like the way you phrase the problem!!! Your new health blast article did give me several chuckles. Writing on the dry erase board, my arms are too fat to stay up there long!!! And I DO tape Dr. Oz and subscribe to prevention, just to keep track of all the things I'm doing wrong!!

Oh, I love your analogy here.;)
April to me is a bit disconcerting month this year. A major change, uncertainty, transformation, acceptance, decision making and a new direction. My future that seemed set in stone is no longer.;) So I am holding my breath and will be happy when April passes as then I can give into my destiny.;)
Have a lovely weekend,
xoxo

My April is looking pretty much just like March. Nothing out of the ordinary just a whole lot of same old same old.

Nice to meet you, April is a month like any other for me. They all just seem to blur into one constant headache. I have learned not to plan things and I am lucky enough to be able to do just that. Planning always leads to disaster in my world, I think the word is just jinxed:) I like the term Nordic walking. I never heard of that before, but I guess I do it every day since I am living it in Norway. Have fun and stay well.

April looks ok. It's May I'm worried about.

My April looks similar... but, that's ok! It's also my bday month, so can't complain too much.

Just hopped over to say "hi!" Alex Cavanaugh sent me your way. Hope you find some free time this month!

Very effective photo; Mine looks like a demented artist tossed craft items all over the house, lots of errands, a laundry list of who to take where and do what and Driver's Ed starts...the nightmare begins Monday!

Pretty much like your April looks. :)

p.s. I like the new header :)

My April looks very, very busy as I try to finish up a screenplay, work on a video series and also become more active in blogging.....all while also working and trying to keep up with my bills....all while trying to exercise more and have somewhat of a social life.

It's too much, too, too much but after March ended at a point where I thought I would be further along, I don't have a choice but to make it a very productive April.

Susan in the Boonies said...

I have had the freedom this year to say "no" to a couple of big things this month.

So, it's not as bad as in year's past.

They don't call it the cruelest month for nothin'. But at least your calendar looks like a building.

I love your bananas and your banana-yellow backround. =D

It is scary when all those days are penciled in with something.

I also have a busy April.

I hope your April flies by and soon, I hope, you will be on summer break. You do take a break, don't you?

We will be traveling the first two weeks of April as we head back to IL from AZ.

I know the feeling! That is why I RETIRED! Hang in there!

Shan said...

Alrighty... trying to get caught up here (on the commenting part... rereading was just as great this time as the first, though). In order to accomplish this Very Important Task, I had to put Fynnie with Mad in the other room. With drumsticks (for a drum, not from a chicken or the oddly named ice cream cone variety). While intermittently going to the kitchen to get Mad some more pizza (her love of pizza began exactly four minutes ago, but it is already consuming her as she consumes it).
In any case, yes, April is busy for us. Same as always, but with a lot of birthdays. Three in the family, plus three of Mad's friends were born this month. Phew!
