Monday Morning Flowers!

Happy Monday Morning, My People!

Come and get some Betty Love in the form of petals and stems.

Today is the start of Spring Break for me, so what will I be doing with my time today?

A) Strutting across the beach in my thong bikini?

B) Working on my Interpretive Dance routine to the tune of "Moon River"?

C) Having gum surgery?

The answer is C.

I am not exactly looking forward to it, but I have my activities after it all planned out.

Here is the stack o' activities on my nightstand, all ready for the hours in which I am not sleeping or sucking down tapioca pudding.

Hope you have a wonderful week ahead!

Every tooth in a man's head is more valuable than a diamond.

Good luck with the surgery! Although if I were strolling the beach in a thong bikini that would just as scary.

Oh my, good luck with the surgery Betty! At least you have some great books to keep you entertained.

Oh my, your spring break sounds as thrilling as mine does. Best of luck on your surgery and enjoy your reading. I, too, have a stack of books beside my comfy recliner - although I may need to move them to the bathroom....

And I thought it was the thong bikini one since it is CA.
Good luck with all that you have to do over your spring break. It doesn't sound fun by far.

Good reward for you and good luck.

Good Grief! Good luck with that, poor you...my eyes are watering.

Love your pretty pretty pictures.

You'll have a great smile to go with the bikini at least.

Mmm! Smells like spring over here!

AND -- having gone through a bit of gum surgery myself a couple years ago, I can just advise that you TAKE THE GAS and bring your iPod/headphones. It's not the worst thing, honestly. Good luck to you!!

May the incision be quick and clean, the healing prompt and painless, the tapioca smooth and delicious, and the books absolutely fascinating.

Here's wishing you get to enjoy some of your time off.

The worst place to go for break, but you have to do it. Better fixed than pulled.Have a good read, you have an interesting selection.I will wait for the warm, I have potatoes and onions ready to plant when nature kicks in.

Good luck on your surgery; I've been married 29 years also! Our spring break at school is the first week of April in Georgia.

Ooooo no fun on the gum surgery. I had it and it doesn't hurt it's just sore afterward. But you've got yourself lined up with good reads at least. Relax.

Thanks for the lovely flowers. Sending good thoughts. Agassi's book looks like an interesting distraction. Happy reading. And you'll need lots of ice cream for the healing period (one year or so). Tell hubs!

So sorry about the dental surgery. Don't forget, in the middle of that stack of books, that you need to sleep and rest a little.

It's SPRING BREAK after all....

FLowers make me happy! I love visiting the vibrancy of yours!

Best of luck with the dental surgery. I detest going to the dentist!

Oh, dear betty! I really hoped it was letter (A) that you would be working on this spring break! Really! But alas, the gums call, eh?

I'm thinking you need to fashion some of your flowers on your head, and we can be head flower lady friends, what do you think? (Your comment cracked me up today. BTW - I woke up with a sore neck today. I have only my new found fashion to blame! Augh! The cost of beauty is so far more than the dollars spent, isn't it!)

Hugs and sending happy gum thoughts your way!

Do I recall (from old posts) that this is not the first time for you and gum surgery? . . . hope it goes more smoothly this time. Keep your eye on the long term gain! And enjoy those wonderful books. ALMOST makes me wish I was laid up for awhile. Almost. All the best to you.

OUCH! Looks like that Mark Twain book will be a Good one!

Oh BB,
I'm so sorry you have to spend your break with your mouth full of gauze and on a senior diet. Bless your heart. I've had my share of gum surgery so I do feel your pain.
Take care....and big hug
Madi and Mom
On a lighter and happier note, I have 13 working days to go.
YES I'M Happy.

Happy Spring Break! First I've had gum surgery so that makes me cringe. Get drunk beforehand so you won't realize what's going on. And. lucky you to be able to wear a thong bikini and strut your stuff. If I did that after all the ice cream sandwiches and pastries I've been eating, I'm make the 11:00 news :D

Good luck with the surgery Betty...... Put your feet up, read your books and take care of yourself:)

I'm sorry you're having gum surgery, but I can't think of a better way to recuperate than sitting back and reading some good books!

Liz said...

Doh! Gum surgery?!?! That is NOT an ideal way to spend break.

though I happen to believe Mad Men is fabulous, so at least you'll be spending some good times while recovering.

A Tale of Two Cities said...

Oh dear, not the best way to spend a spring break, but I know you'll be glad to get it put behind you. Hope it goes well, and that you get some great reading done.

sure do need my teeth- I read some the of the AA book- then I had to return it to the library- love the orange flowers.

Cricket said...

Well, at least you're not having gum surgery on the beach done by a dentist in a thong bikini singing Moon River?

No, really, wishing you the best with that. I just finished a batch of dental work myself, and feel for you.

Lydia K said...

Oh poor Betty! I hope you survive your surgery okay. That does NOT sound like fun (and I may have to have some myself, someday).
Hugs!

Joyful said...

It's not fun but good you have a block of time to take care of the problem. Enjoy the reading.

Darn... I was hoping for [A]...

Ann said...

Aw not a fun way to spend spring break but at least you get spring break. And you've got the books all lined up waiting for you when you get home. Hope it goes well.

Tracy said...

UGH, I've had gum surgery before and it's not very pleasant...I hope you keep those things close at hand and just take it easy. Good Luck with all of that...

Linda said...

There are few words that send dread to my soul more than "dentist" or "dental." And, when you put "dental" together with "surgery"...well, you might find me hiding under the bed. I feel for you, girl. Hope you recover soon enough to enjoy at least part of your spring break.

Pat Tillett said...

Good luck Betty! Don't be shy about taking painkillers afterwards!
Thanks for the flowers...

Daisy said...

Oh no! I hope all goes well for you, Betty. The flowers are beautiful, by the way. Thank you! :)

Barbara said...

Hope your surgery went well and you don't have to take so much pain medicine that you don't remember reading all of those luscious books!

Nicolasa said...

Beautiful flowers! Thanks for sharing them with us! Even though gum surgery doesn't sound fun I know that the relaxation that follows will be much needed! Enjoy!

Ow. Hope the surgery went well. Thank you for the glorious shots of color to brighten Monday, now Tuesday.

Shan said...

Isn't "D, all of the above" the correct answer? I mean, c'mon! You could do an interpretive dance in a thong bikini across the surgeon's office.

The Adorkable Ditz said...

Hope you feel better BB. Just started on my essay and just finding what to write was hard...hopefully it'll be good by Monday. Happy reading!

Those are beuatiful flowers. I wish someone would give me a bouquet like that...
Sorry abut your surgery, I hope it goes - went well.
Thank you for your beuatiful, kind and substantial comment yesterday.;)

No, say it isn't so. Gum surgery isn't cool. Being able to actually fit into a thong bikini might be cool...although they look like they might be a bit stretchy.

Hope your on the mend!

Ahahahahaaaaa! Leave it to you to find a Don Quixote line about teeth, hilarious! Happy Ice Cream Recovery, Miss Bossy :)

I knew it was C. Only because I'm just about there myself! I hope it went well for you. Looks like you'll be curled on the couch for a while w/some good books, and OH! Mad Men! What fun. ;)
Just found your blog, and I'm loving it!
