Out and About With Betty

Betty had a wonderful time out and about yesterday with some gal pals.
We headed to the Huntington Library in San Marino, CA.

Our first stop was at the tea house for some goodies.

(I thought these would get your attention.)

It was the Chinese New Year so there were red lanterns all over.

This is the roof of the conservatory from inside.

The Japanese Garden was especially lovely.

The Statue Garden was wonderful as well.

Betty was inspired.

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

Takes me back to kindergarten and fourth grade field trips. And that my Kool-Aid leaked onto my sandwich during my first trip... yuck!

I love the Huntington. It's been a few years since I've been there. We used to get a family pass every year, but stopped going so we stopped getting the passes. I need to go back sometime. It's only about 10 miles or so from where we live.

Soooo jealous, those gardens look lovely. The Conservatory roof was gorgeous but all I could think of is it would collapse under all the snow........ we have here.

Betty . . . I want to move in. Is that strange? I mean, I like shopping with you, I like our field trips to beautiful places like this, I like our vacations, I LOVE our flowers ... and we'd have oh-so-much fun, don't you think?

Hi Betty,
I love these pics! They're amazing. I had to join your blog after I read "Maddie and me". It brought me to tears. It reminded me of our little Maltese. So many memories. He died of old age. I was next to him on his deathbed. I cried for a week and I still get teary-eyed when I think of him (still after six years!). I'm so happy to hear Maddie's still with you. Dogs are more than dogs: they're faithful companions, friends, angels, and the best part, they don't judge us. Thank you for sharing that wonderful story.

You have a very good philosophical pose, BB.

I love the way the water's reflection of the bridge makes the arches look like full circles. I'm left speechless regarding the image of the statue and her friend. :)
