Monday Morning Flowers!

Happy Monday!

You can bet as I was walking around the grounds of the Huntington Library on Saturday with my camera, I was thinking of all my snowbound Bunnies out there.

I worked to gather flowers especially for you.

Look! Poppies! Poppies! Let's all sleep in a field of poppies!

Here's one just for you.

(Do you have your nose pressed up against your computer screen?
Are we sharing a special moment just as I had planned?)

Here's a big ball of sunshine.

Please Note: You have Dr. Betty's permission to sit and stare at these pictures as long as you need to.

It's a mental health issue, after all.

Let's not neglect it.

Flowers always make people better, happier, and more helpful; they are sunshine, food and medicine for the soul.

The top photo of the flurry of poppies is a nice reminder of my own garden, which I'd almost lost track of this winter. Thank you for reminding me of what's beneath, waiting to emerge. You have a nice way of saying much with few words. I loved the entry about your son going to the city....

Thanks, BB. Needed that today!!

At least flowers don't need to be mowed. Unless they are dandelions.

Gorgeous! I have some poppy seeds in the cabinet. Do you think if I threw them in the dirt they'd look as beautiful as the ones at Huntington? ;o) Happy Monday!

I've never seen a real poppy before! Sad I know, but I've only seen the paper ones that you get from some vets :o(

BB you know just what to do to make us all feel special and happy.
A field of poppies make us think of spring, cool breezes and big floppy hats.

AH Poppies. Makes me think of Dorthy on the way to that witch :)
And if I stay here long I might melt. :D

Ohhhhhhh, poppies! I've never been able to make poppies grow very well, yet I'll see them by the hundreds of thousands on the side of the inerstate. Just what I need this a.m. Betty.

A delightful share to start my week. It's 14 and falling to -4 by the end of the day.

As I sit here looking out at our piles of snow and it's sub zero temps, I truly appreciate looking at your flowers. Thank you for sharing. Happy Monday! XX

Beautiful BB!!! My nose is pressed against my screen and work ethic be damned!! Yes the boss has just given me a funny look but flowers are flowers and must be admired - especially flowers from you! Take care

Minneapolis has had measurable snow fall in 52 of the last 60 days.

When Spring comes, we shall all go insane with happiness...

As a Kansas native I really dislike Wizard of Oz jokes. That being said, I am finding it hard not to make a few myself!

Regardless, gorgeous poppies. I'm so ready for spring.

Happy Monday, BB! Hope your week is fabulous!

I love poppies. They're so ephemeral, and it makes the beauty more special.

I'm here from Jane's, my old bud at Gaston Studio.

These photos are lovely, Betty.

I'm glad to see that you're married to a "real, live man," as those dead ones are just no good at all unless, of course, they had a large life insurance policy payable all to you! Anyway, I guess you had the song about a real live girl in mind.

I was wondering if I could get a work release not from Doctor Betty. I think I need to sit all day tomorrow and maybe even Wednesday and stare at those flowers
I really miss seeing flowers

Thanks for the reminder that Spring is right around the corner! I desperately need that reminder as my poor little fingers are frozen solid as what Hubby and I think are acceptable comfortable inside temperatures vary immensely.

Adorable, and I think the best prescription I've ever received, Dr Betty.

SquirrelQueen said...

While I am usually not one for prescriptions this is one I will joyfully accept. The poppies are gorgeous and I love the burst of sun from the lovely mum.

Have a wonderful week!
