All in One Week

This man passed away.

This woman celebrated her mid-century-plus-two birthday.

And this little one joined our family!

Presenting my new great-nephew, Turner Philip.
Isn't he gorgeous?

“It's the circle of life, and it moves us all, through despair and hope, through faith and love, 'till we find our place, on the path unwinding”

--Elton John

A lot to take in, in one week! But aren't we blessed by them all - blessed to have known such a good man, blessed with another day to experience this life, and blessed to see that hope is born in the gift of a new life!

So very true. I'm often struck by how a death in the family is so closely followed by a birth. Life does indeed go on. He's a beauty.

In another context, this story could have been filled with sadness and ultimate joy. But you chose the perfect road - the circle of life. I only hope your father-in-law was able to meet precious Turner before he took his turn on the final circle.

Aww, Betty, how truly amazing that your life went to such extremes in such a short period of time, but what a lovely reminder for all of us!
The blog about your son getting a suit made me chuckle; right now my eleven year old enjoys dressing up but I wonder if there will be a tiem when shorts are sufficient? I guess we'll cross that bridge but goodness gracious; one battle I don't want to fight~
Last thought, thank you so much for your kind words of support on my blog. It has been an emotionally draining week but I feel so blessed with everyone who has shared their support and warmth; it has been tremendous! It was also nice to catch up with you today!
hugs...

Ms. Betty,
We both sure had a week did we not? I love the name of the new addition and that lady is my age. Which means she's an expensive bottle of wine:)

Thank you for all the kind words and support, sure meant a great deal!

What a mix of highs and lows this week, BB! But I do think it's neat to see how, when one life ends, another begins.

Events happen like that, I well remember we just celebrated the birth of our first granchild, 10 days later my mother passed away. three days after thst was told my husband had terminal brain cancer and within 2 months he too had left me.

I do hope the birth of the baby will soften the blow of the other events.

Take care.
Yvonne.

Definitely a roller coaster of emotions! Often births and deaths seem to come together and perhaps that's to remind us of "life goes on" even when we husr a lot. Sorry for your loss but happy for the new arrival.
