Happy Monday After Christmas!
Hope you all had good holidays. Are we looking forward to the New Year?
We've had rainstorms galore here for several days, but it cleared up for Christmas Day. Last night it let loose again leaving gorgeous scenes like this.

Soon people will take down their Christmas lights, but we are lucky enough to have these brightly colored flowers dot the landscape all year long.
These flowers are for my snowbound blogger buddies. Hope you enjoy them!
The rain left some beautiful artwork on the sidewalks.
Hope you have a great week ahead!
It is no use to grumble and complain; It's just as cheap and easy to rejoice; When God sorts out the weather and sends rain - Why, rain's my choice.

Thanks for sharing Betty, most refreshing to look at on this dull and cold day,
Yvonne.
Such beautiful flowers, something we don't see during winter in Northumberland. The snow outside hides all the beauty of the landscape, and even though may look picturesque, generally spoils the growth of our crops.

The flowers are lovely and a welcome sight to me this Monday morning. I love the quote at the end of your post today. Happy Monday to you! :)
Lovely flowers, and Happy Monday to you!
Gorgeous flowers! We had the first White Christmas in South Carolina since 1963. My kids were more than ecstatic. :o) I love the quote today! Here's my favorite 'weather' quote:
Wherever you go, no matter the weather, always bring your own sunshine. A. D'Angelo
Happy Monday! :o)
Love the sidewalk art ... so beautiful, Betty, and something I would definitely snap a photo of, too! Happy Monday, dear B!
Aww thank you for these gorgeous flowers and the amazing pavement artwork!!!! The holiday season is still in full swing - yay!!
Take care

Love that you see the artwork in a sidewalk puddle!
Thanks for the lovely flowers, from snowbound Illinois. (I know there's green out there somewhere!!!)
Good to see such bright life.
All that rain has been hard to deal with for some, then others have SNOW. All we have is drought...go figure. ;0)
The news here has been showing all the rain you've been getting in sunny South California. It doesn't look as nice as your pictures do.
What a colorful Monday display. You sure are lucky to have flowers year round :)
Thanks for the beauties :)

Morning BB what a beautiful post!!!
We have been hearing about all the rain in So. CA!!!
You do have some lovely flowers to enjoy year around.....currently our color is all WHITE and frozen.
And really and truly that is very unusual for us. This was the first EVER snow over 6" in December since records have been kept.
Thanks for the pretties.
Hugs Madi and Mom
Always nice to see your blooms.I like the puddle reflection.
Beautiful flowers! Thanks for sharing as we won't see those for many months! Happy Monday!
green grass the monday after christmas?!? you are such a tease, BB!
Flowers and green grass at the end of December! You're PLAYING with my emotions, Betty!

No flowers here - we got something a little more powerful than rain - snow!
Those flowers are great, but I really enjoy the last pic of the sidewalk
My eyes approve.
...and I most certainly do enjoy them!
Beautiful Betty, the rain stopped here Christmas Eve and started back up Christmas night, so we too had a clear Christmas which was nice, isn't it amazing how many flowers are still blooming through all of this.
The grass looks like good enough to eat!
How wonderful to have a refreshing rain ~ we are getting a fresh blanket of snow at the moment. It makes me sad. :(
It's hard to believe that 2011 is just around the corner
Have a good week Betty!

Very nice Betty! With all this moisture in the ground, there is going to be such a display of wildflowers this spring!
Rain forcasted again for Wednesday and all weekend! Get the Ark provisioned...
Such beautiful 'natural' decorations you shared with us in this post.
I adore that picture of the reflections on the rainy sidewalk!
Sounds like you are getting ready to send 2010 out with beauty and grace!
Such pretty flowers! We can't wait until ours come back!
Beautiful flowers Betty! Thanks for sharing!
We're covered in snow, so it's hard to imagine the world with flowers. Thanks for bringing me some.
Love the reflection of the tree on the sidewalk.
Happy New Year, Betty!
It's so cold here - those flowers sure are a welcome sight. Wish they were real!
Merry Christmas Betty!
Seeing as I'm in blizzard territory I love the grass! Happy post X-mas!
the green grass and the lovely flowers are a wonderful sight to see on this very frigid Monday
ah...thanks for that dash of beauty...everything is rather frozen solid here now...ha
Betty,
Well, I certainly needed the flowers for my Monday morning cheer. The snow made us homebound yesterday but I was quite ready to get out and about today so we went to a movie!
With 10 in. in NC I've certainly had my fill, now bring back the warmth of the south :)
It started snowing here Christmas night and all the next day. It's so beautiful!
Your flowers are really pretty and would look so good in my snow.:)
The color is blinding!! All that we see is white these days. Thanks for sharing. :0
Definitely nice to see flowers today...we had hoarfrost this morning and it was beautiful...but cold. ha
I really like that last picture.
James Whitcomb Riley must have lived in the tropics or in CA.
Be well and stay dry, Betty.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the reflection photo!
Flowers in December. Freaky. :)
Beautiful flowers. We could use
the rain. The prairie is almost
dry.
Last week of Dec. and I already miss the flowers. Good thing I still have the Monday flowers to fall back on.
Hi Betty ... loved your beautiful flowers. So enjoyed your Christmas tree story about the changing traditions and your lovely Daddy too... and the angel ornament too!
Just doing a blog catch up today.
Happy New Year when it comes.
I love that quote. And that last picture. It's beautiful!!
