Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to all my Blogging Buddies!

Betty and the fam-bam returned from vacay and this was the view from the shuttle at LAX.

Believe it or not, I was incredibly blissed out to return to this hectic scene and actually started singing "There's No Place Like Home for the Holidays" while walking with the throngs of people headed for baggage claim.

There were so many people making pick-ups of family members--you could feel the anticipation in the air. The constant rain for the past three or four days had let-up and the blinking lights were incredibly festive against the glittering background.

Even the horns honking seemed like Christmas carols.

Best of all, I returned to find your gifts of comments about my posts last week while I was away. Thank you all for coming by and for all your lovely sentiments.

I count myself as one lucky gal and I am grateful for all of you.

Merry Christmas, my friends.

I hope you are surrounded by love this day and in all the days to come.

Mery Christmas Betty. I woke early and have called Santa Central to report being missed, but alas I was on the bad list.I fed special food to the pets, the dog ate the katz food and the katz ate the dogs.I am going to grill out today, even with over 3 inches of new snow.

Hi BB!!! Oh boy did we wake up to a surprise....then about 9:10 the power went off until 10:30...thank goodness for gas logs. The snow is heavy and wet not good for power lines and tree limbs. This is highly unusual for Raleigh.
It seems to be tapering off now.
Maybe we can at least clean the cars off. Our house faces North and we are on a hill so our drive way will be a mess for days but our cars are at the bottom of the driveway...we just have to get our bodies down there. LOL

I love this joyous post. Home is definitely where the heart is. I suspect I would not have been quite so excited to experience LAX during holiday travel season - ha!
