Monday Morning Flowers!

Good Monday Morning!

It is true. It is true.

The long Thanksgiving weekend is over and we must return to our regularly scheduled lives.

Betty sends you a bushel of flowers and best wishes for the week ahead.

The first three days are in November and the next four are in December.

Pace yourselves, my people.

Make that transition smoothly and evenly. You'll be glad you did.

Die when I may, I want it said of me by those who knew me best, that I always plucked a thistle and planted a flower where I thought a flower would grow.

What beautiful flowers and sentiment to begin the tough week; isn't it always difficult to get in the mtoion after having been off for the holidays?

I liked the pink ones best. I could use a few flowers this week, that whith stuff is trying hard to creep in.I have been running full blast for days. Went up and shopped all day Saturday with my youngest, and then started to decorate outdoors.

The Lincoln quote reminded me of a charming little British movie I watched a few weekends ago called "Greenfingers". It's based on a true story about a gardening program in a prison, that ends up winning the flower show at Chelsea Gardens. - G

Thanks for the Monday Morning flowers! Boy did I ever need them! Also, thanks for the reminder not to jump right into December but to gradually walk into it. I definitely will pace myself and I agree, I will most likely be glad that I did.

Happy Monday to you as well! :)

Wish I had stayed on top of things. These flowers would have been balm to a mama who had to be away from her girls two days in a row this week. Lovely how you've managed to preserve them!
