A Monday Morning Flower Just For You!

Squeal with delight as you view this flower because it's just for YOU, you special person you!

Through the magic of a new, highly-secretive technology, each person visiting my blog gets his/her own special flower delivered to his/her computer on this fine Monday morning.

Isn't that wonderful?

Even when you view it on a computer belonging to someone else, a special lens automatically tracks and recognizes your unique DNA code and produces the flower that was sent just for you.

Hope you enjoy your daisy, carnation, sunflower, iris or rose.

(By the way, if you received the macro shot of the yellow rose petals, YOU are THE MOST SPECIAL person to come to my blog! If you are this ONE AND ONLY PERSON, please show some courtesy and do NOT brag to others in your comments!)

Many readers were curious about the mysterious third picture on my last post. We were visiting Sonny Boy at his college in June and found lots of bulletin boards, stripped for the summer. I thought they were interesting--the kind of thing that could easily entertain me for hours. Here's another one:

Just to get your brain working this morning--do you see a cartoon character in this tree? Who do you see?

We are all special cases.

Morning BB and wink wink...thank you for the special flower..

Thank you for revisiting the mystery picture. HA!!!

Mom said at first glance the tree trunk carving reminds her of a man with his head wrapped in a turban....that being said she reminded herself that she is wearing her new contacts today too so who knows what it is.

Hugs to Mabel and Zelda

You're very clever! :) I can't decide what I see in the picture. The possibilities are endless. Wouldn't I make an interesting client for some psychologist out there. :) hahahah

Space alien in general? Marvin the Martian?
Lovely flower.

Oh, betty. Thanks for putting this flower out there for ME. It makes me so happy (love the yellow, BB.) And the cartoon character, well, I'm all 'Oh Sew Good' above - the possibilities are endless (not really, I just can't seem to see it this morning.) Do tell. Have a great week!

MY flower is gorgeous...thank you! :o) I see Shaggy from ScoobyDoo in the tree. Happy Monday! Larri at Seams Inspired

I loved my special flower! How did you manage to do this?

Regarding the cartoon character, I was going to say Herman, but I think Shaggy is more accurate.

Good morning, BB. =)
I think this macro of the yellow rose is your BEST yet! I see a Georgia O'Keeffe painting residing there.

As for the bulletin board, I'm glad I don't have to yank out the staples!

I agree with Madi & Mom about the tree trunk. However, If I turn my head sideways to the right, I can see an elephant's head and trunk, with the small round hole as the elephant's eye.

Happy Monday and enjoy Columbus Day!

I promise not to tell anyone how special I am, Betty! Now I'm off to get the DNA burned off my retinas. *shudder*

Thank you for the flower power :) But I'm sorry I do not see a cartoon character, maybe it is the cold medicine :D

Shaggy.Like the bulletin boards, they have a touch of class. One artist I saw took a section of wall she tore the wallpaper off and drew around the patterns she saw. Hope she had a day job, but it was different. Can't believe you just sent that flower to me.Nice light on it.

Beautiful flower! The bulletin board makes me cringe and I want to go after it with my staple remover LOL. Sweet pic, though.

Love the flower!
As for the tree trunk, I see two totally different things: an egyptian, a potato head face that has it's one eye eaten all the way to it's mouth,

Your secret is safe with me (YES, I'm the favorite!!! Whoo hooo!!!!). Ahh, that poster pieces photo brings back memories. Man I miss the early 90s.

Liz said...

Is this a trick? Because I look like an idiot twisting and turning my head to see a cartoon character in that tree. :)

Gaston Studio said...

I love the bulleting board, looks like abstract art. On the tree, I see an ET like alien which is etched on the side of a horse's head while he chews on a few leaves. Hey, you asked!

Lisa said...

Okay, I feel slighted I didn't get the yellow flower :( What does it mean if your flower is red or pink? or just a great big Sun Flower. . .like mine? Should I worry? I'm new here and I am not sure if this is a trick or not. Help!!! I'm very sensitive you know.

Cartoon Character? I see a man sporting an afro. Is there something wrong with my computer or worse . . .ME???? ;)

Baby Sister said...

Thanks for the flower Betty. You make me smile. ;)

I personally think it looks like either one of the vultures from Jungle Book or Nutsy from Robin Hood. :)

It does look like a cartoon character!
What are the odds against us both have photos of that bulletin board?
Astronomical, right? Yet, we do...

Thank you for the flower! Your Monday posts always get my week off to a good start. I was thinking the the character in the tree looked like an alien. I'm curious...who did you see?

TS Hendrik said...

Hmm... I think it kind of looks like E.T. or something out of Nightmare Before Christmas in the tree.

Hey! Miss seeing you!
LOVED the flower AND the carving but saw a little boy looking at a cute little kitty.

Not too up on cartoon characters but definitely up on imagination!

Love the rose. The mystery picture is "The Grinch" of course!

Thanks for the flower.
I see the perfect squirrel entrance in the tree. He curls up in a ball and jumps in sideways. See, there's a spot for his tail and everything.
I see odd things...

Thanks for giving ME the special flower! It IS my birthday, you know!

Thanks for clearing up that photo of the bulletin board. Inquiring minds wanted to know. :)

Have no clue what cartoon character is in the tree. What hallucinogenic where you on when you posted that photo? LOL!

blueviolet said...

I don't know who that character in the tree is, but I do know that I'm exceedingly jealous you were able to visit your son at college!

BB I had no idea your blog was so technologically advanced! Cool! BTW, I loved my yellow petaled ros....errr, I mean, special flower just for me. I mean I've been told I was "special" before but not necessarily in this context. ;)

Have a great Monday!

Totally Shaggy from Scooby Doo.

I can't look at the beautiful, accidental collage just yet. It's too much for my recovering eyes, but the flower, wink, wink is beautiful. Thanks for my special one. I'm whispering that, so no one knows.

Jimmy said...

Thank you for the flower Betty, I will not brag about it but will say it is really special and as far as the character I too see Shaggy.

Aging Mommy said...

I see ET and I don't even like Sci Fi! Love the bulletin board photo too and thank you so very much for my dandelion.

Excuse me for announcing this publically, but: BETTY SAYS I'M SPECIAL!! Rawknrobyn dance going on here. Um, I don't see any particular character in that tree. You did say I'm the special one, right?

Gracious thanks for the beautiful flower...but the only thing I see on that tree is something phallic-shaped that may not be G rated....so I will refrain from uttering it here. Wait....did I? Never mind.

Thanks for the flower, I found this rather absorbing but I could see something in the third picture but couldn't make out what it was.

Most interesting post,
Yvonne.

I wanted to test your system to see if it really worked. After opening up your blog post I went to my laptop and brought up your blog, then on my husbands computer and sure enough all three had the same flower "Just for me" Thank you, thank you. I feel so special :)
I don't know the name of the character but I saw one of the little dinosaurs from some animated movie that I can't remember the name of.

I mean Shaggy, dang fat fingers lol

Nat said...

Thanks Betty, I do love yellow :) Happy Monday to you!

Sarah said...

Yes! The boy with the big dog. Is it Marmaduke or something?

Dreamfarm Girl said...

I see nothing. Especially nothing yellow and frilly and specially for me. I also don't see a cartoon character. Really. It's obviously an alien, big eyes and forehead. Or a sideways tweetiebird.

Cheeseboy said...

Personally, I'd much rather have a Pepsi than a flower, but I'll take it.

Kazzy said...

Is it Invader Zim?

Venassa said...

I am not here to brag.
I also am not here to identify the shape in the tree, because I have no idea.

Your Monday flower is always a good way to start the week. Thank you, Betty. I'm clueless as to the cartoon tree, sorry to say.

That flower is so beautiful Betty! And as for the cartoon character ~ has anyone said the The Grinch yet? I think that is him being all grinchy because the Christmas season is quickly approaching! :)

Oh, thank you for the Special Flower!! And because it is Night, and I am Not Thinking Clearly (that's the excuse & I'm sticking to it) I thought the cartoon character was meant to be on the bulletin board so of course it had to be Woody Woodpecker. NOT.
Whoever mentioned Shaggy probably got it right...
Happy Tuesday!

Just stopping by to say hi and comment on my comment. Lol!
It seems I am not as good as the others in viewing a cartoon instead of a hollow!

p.s. it's shaggy from scooby doo!!!!

That photo of the pin board is fantastic. It looks like a piece of modern sculpture. It reminds me of a certain mixed media artist I once studied, I just can't remember who. - G
PS. I see a skinny, adolescent Caillou in the last photo.

Jami said...

I love the bulletin boards! You definitely have an eye for pattern.

I already read the next post since I am reading out of order, so I can't join in the tree game. The word "punctual" was never used to describe me, unfortunately.
