Hello from Colorado!
The wedding of Jack and Jill is tomorrow.
In the meantime, we are enjoying our time here with my sister and her family.

Sister Marlene and Brother-in-law Don took us up into the high altitude to see the gorgeous scenery.
We got up to 10,550 feet and found snow! Betty and HOB, who were at sea level the day before, felt the effects of the altitude, especially when my big, bad sister threw a snowball at me while I was sitting peacefully in the car!
Betty would like to officially to thank the aspens for hanging on to some of their leaves this long. I truly do appreciate it! Hope my you heard my applause!!

What beautiful pictures. Autumn splendor + snow. Have a wonderful rest of your trip.
gorgeous Betty-
we're going for a hike today- I can't wait to see what is up in the mountains!
makes me wish we'd vacationed there in the Fall!
Ok, you have to tell me what part of Colorado this is...this is one of my retirement area candidates, and I have never been there.
I will have to check this out in person.
Gorgeous pictures, Betty. I am in no way ready to see any snow just yet, but I love the Aspens. Happy weekend to you, and I hope the wedding goes well. :)
So beautiful. I love Colorado. Have fun at the wedding!
Awww bad big sister! LOL!!
These are beautiful shots of Colorado! Wow - how idyllic and perfect just perfect for a Jack and Jill wedding!!
Take care

Beautiful scenery. Thanks.
Truly magnificent photos. Have a wonderful time at the wedding.
Thanks for sharing this little bit of lovely scenery - enjoy your visit.
Snow?!? in October?!?! That's even worse than New Hampshire! :)
Beautiful!!
wonderful pics! Thanks for sharing!
You are making me homesick with these beautiful photos.
Beautiful! I really have to get there during autumn...
Hope you're having a great time!
It sure is pretty. My daughter is in Colorado, way too far from home :)
I just got some pics from Durango, CO and the Aspens were marvelous, I had lived in Breckenridge and forgot the beauty, see it only from the air since. You have been in CA to realize that when someone beans you with snow you return fire or rub their face in it. Get Bossy!
What a great blog!
BB thank you for taking the time to post these beautiful pictures for all of us to enjoy!!!
Colorado is a beautiful state that I hope to visit one day...especially to ride the Durango and Silverton, Scenic Railraod.
Madi and Mom

I'm looking forward to wedding pictures!
Such great pictures!!! Oh, you can keep the snow!
good for you - what a beautiful setting to be in for fall. and to have a wedding in - just gorgeous.
Love those aspens! And snow? Yikes!
Everyone in my family except my husband suffered some aspects of altitude sickness when we traveled through the Rockies!
It looks beautiful. Thanks for sending it this way. Enjoy the wedding!
Breathtaking . . . just breathtaking! THanks for sharing Betty! Have a wonderful wedding . . .
Wish we had snow!
What wonderful colors! No wonder my parents loved Colorado.
Thanks for sharing the aspen pics. I'm glad you got to see them.
What I remember most about aspens from my childhood is how the trees and forest looked as we went down the mountain to Durango every weekend to grocery shop and go to church. Not the color of the fall leaves but the color of the bare trees' trunks and branches in winter.
Funny. It's been 44 years since then, yet it is a memory I love.
those pictures are so beautiful. I love the snow, although it never snows here, we have to drive a couple of hours to find snow.
Hope you're having a great weekend.
Wow! I wish I was there to savour the fantastic scenery but your photos are the next best thing. Thanks for sharing them and have a wonderful time at the wedding.
So beautiful!! Yes high altitude can play havoc with you. Headaches, dizziness and nausea to name a few side effects. But the scenery can't be beat. I live at 7600 feet above sea level here in New Mexico! But I feel the effects when I get above 12,000 feet. Whew!!
Enjoy your visit
Hugs

In response: how could you come to Colorado when I am out of town??? ;) Looks like you are having a fabulous time. Glad the aspen leaves hung on for just a little bit longer!
Snow!! But oh such beautiful scenery you are seeing Betty. Thank you so much for sharing. Looks like you are having a wonderful time.

Gorgeous scenery. Hope the wedding went well and that the marriage is even better!
Your sister doesn't seem very... ahh... sweet, does she?
;+)
Betty you do get to see the most beautiful places and capture them so wonderfully for us armchair tourists :-) Enjoy the wedding!
Fall in the Rockies. Lovely.
Great pictures, Betty! Miss you bunches! Your "boat" stayed afloat without any need of rescue! All grown up!
Gorgeous photos! We always visit Colorado in the winter for skiing, but I'd love to go in a different season as well.
What beautiful scenery indeed. Thanks for sharing. :)
The pics look like paintings. Hope you have a blast at the wedding. What are the altitude effects aside from being pelted by snowballs?
Love the snow picture!
Hope the wedding was great
Have only been to Colorado Springs in that great state and it proved to be every bit as beautiful as I imagined it would be. Lucky you Betty!
Wow, those colors are amazing. Hope it was all great.

I want to go there.
That is my best Liz Lemon impersonation. My apologies if you're not a 30 Rock fan.
Congratulations to Jack & Jill too!
