Monday Morning Flowers One Day Late

Hello my people!

Thank you for all the comments on my last post.
Now that I have given up all hope of being sweet and even, with your help, have begun to embrace my salty, even pungent-at-times nature, I am delivering your flowers one day late.
You got a problem with that? Huh?

Have no fear, your flowers are as sweet as ever.
HOB and I went to a place where dahlias are grown and I had fun with my camera.
Yeah, it was a little crazy and on the edge, but that's the way we roll on these three-day weekends.

Hope you had a good one and are ready for the week ahead!

That it will never come again is what makes life sweet.

Best thing about the day after a three day week-end is knowing that it's only a four day work week!

Morning BB,
Beautiful flowers!!! Thank HOB for driving you about so that we get to see all the gorgeous sights. What would we do w/o our drivers. My hubby took me around town yesterday to take photos too. Bless his heart
I need to start giving him 'credit' on the blog for behind the scenes work.
Hugs Madi and MOm

Dahlias are amazing, and come in so many spectacular color combinations. I remember digging them up with Mom every fall, and then going through the roots in the spring. (They were also the reason our chickens were sentenced to imprisonment after years of free-ranging: too much collateral damage to the dahlias.)

Love the dahlias. Had a friend who always hoped for a 1st pace with his dahlias at the fair and for the Cubs to be in the World Series.Went to his grave seeing neither.Had some great flowers, a whole yard full to wander through.

Lovely dahlias. They are one of my favorite flowers. There's a dahlia garden on Long Island I love to visit each year.
