Monday Morning Flowers!

Welcome to the first Monday in August!

Breathe deep, my people.

We still have this full, glorious month in which to enjoy summer.

Here are your Monday Morning Flowers.

I am so glad you dropped by to pick them up!

“What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others.”

--Pericles

(A special note to all the people writing in to say they miss the cow in the header. Thank you so much for your concern. She is safe and warm in my computer and reports that she misses you all too, but she requests a little time in which to focus on her private life and consider her next career mooooove.)

The first image, particularly, is sensational.

Gorgeous.
My cosmos plants have turned into 4'-tall ferny forests with very few flowers, so it's good to see yours!

Thanks for the lovely flowers, Betty. What a wonderful way to start the week!
Yes, I do miss Daisy...it was so much fun to see her face as I opened up your blog. But it's totally understandable that she needs some rest! Now, I'm just craving mac & cheese!!!

Awe ... so lovely. I certainly don't know my flowers, Betty, but so appreciate their beauty each Monday. The white one (what is the name of that kind?) I love the texture on each petal - you are brilliant, dear!

Happy Monday, dear Betty. Happy Monday!

The problem with August is it is back to work on the 16th AND all the car taxes are due at the end of the month AND hubby's birthday is somewhere in there too. I.HATE.AUGUST!!!!

I'd plant flowers for my wife, but that would involve me going outside - and it's way too hot!

Delightful! We need to enjoy these flowers while we can--something about August makes it more urgent to stop and smell the roses, before they're gone!

Betty, where do you pick such a wide variety of gorgeous, healthy blooms? If you say in your garden, I might just have to pout for a while out of jealousy.

All these photos are nice, but the first one is my favorite. Plumeria!
It is not only my absolute favorite looking flower, it also smells like heaven to me. Well actually, it smells like Hawaii.

We have a plant in the front and back yard. Several times each day I stick my face in the blooms and take a deep whiff...Hawaii!

I don't think I've ever seen flowers like these. They look edible. Delicious, even. It's a good thing the cow is taking a break, otherwise she might eat them. Then she would say "moooore please!" Okay, your use of "moo" was more clever and funny. Mine was just contrived, I admit.

I like a little change - good for you!

And flower pic #2 is my favorite!

Beautiful Monday flowers once again! :)

(Is that macaroni in your header? Have you got a noodle in your strudel? Oh wait - that should be a strudel in your noodle, huh? Did I even spell strudel right? I know, I've hit the quota for stupid questions, haven't I? Oops....there's another one.)
