Monday Morning Flowers and Ego Boost All In One Handy Blog Post!

Good Monday Morning, My People!

Let's start this fine day off with a little quiz about those Fruits and Nuts Betty displayed on her last blog post.

How many did you correctly identify?

Asian Pear.
OH! That was a hard one!
Did you get it?

Lemon
(This one was included to boost your self-esteem and confidence after that first difficult challenge.)

Macadamia Nuts.
(Another tough one!)

Grapefruit! Aren't you smart to get that one?
Wow!
(Another ego-booster. Not quite as obvious though.)

Pomegranate.
It's still ripening, planning its attack on your clothing in the fall.

Lime. Yes! Good!
(Too obvious?)

Oranges! Yes! Wow!
You are really doing so well!
(Too much?)

Persimmon--another fruit in the dressing room getting ready to take center stage in the fall.

So, Betty Fans, what was your final score?

Some have asked if these were all from my yard.
Alas, no. I took the pictures of the lemons and oranges in my back yard.
The other pictures are from the yards of friends.
Like a big crow, Betty is attracted to people who grow produce in their back yards.

So how does the week ahead look?

Hope yours is a good one!

OH! And don't forget your Monday Morning Flowers.
Even if you didn't get any answers right, you're still winners in my book!!!
(Still working on that self-esteem thing for those who were a little discouraged by our quiz.)

Let's see what we have for you this week.

A tree is known by its fruit; a man by his deeds. A good deed is never lost; he who sows courtesy reaps friendship, and he who plants kindness gathers love.
--St. Basil

Thanks to all those who asked about my Blog Project for my two classes. It is off to a very slow start, but we are moving on them and I am working out the bugs in the system. I would say on the crazy scale, I am only at 50% so far. I am sure it will increase to at least 75% soon, in which case I am coming back here and taking my own quiz just to regain my sense of self-worth.

Have a Happy Week!

Alas Betty, I didn't take the quiz but I'm positive I would have gotten the all except the macadamia nuts... who knew? Incredible that you have such gorgeous produce growing in your very own neighborhood! And I like that you've given us a heads up on fashion colors... I've always looked good in persimmon.

Wasn't sure on a couple. And I don't think I've ever seen actual grapefruit on a tree before.

Crap, still at 50% on your quiz. Guess I didn't study enough even though you gave me a great study guide...

Wow ~ it's hard to imagine being able to grow all that beautiful fruit in your own back yard. We have one apple tree but only get to eat one or two of them due to the birds pecking at them which ruins the fruit. Naughty birds.

Your Monday morning flowers are beautiful!

Plans for this week is the increasing anticipation of my 3 weeks holidays starting at 1:30 pm this Friday! Whahoo!!!!

Hope you have a wonderful week friend!

I didn't know it was a pop quiz, so I failed. I love the flower pictures, and I also love the merry-go-round picture on your header.

I feel like I could splash down into those blue flowers. So vibrant.

I didn't know the persimmon. Far from perfection.

I am so jealous that you live in a part of the country where all my favorites grow in back yards, clearly, very abundantly.

I didn't take the quiz but I would have gotten most of them, since they are all staples in this household. Asian Pears, yum.

Thanks for the gorgeous flowers, as usual, Betty.

Hi BB we are late but wanted to drop by to say hi...we would have only been able to identify 2 of the pictures. My told me my Papa's Appt. went ok today. He has a small area of basal cell skin cancer under his eye that has to be removed on 9/15.

Oh dear...I've been away from the computer for the past couple of days, so I read this bloggy post first. Is that a no-no? Am I disqualified from taking the test now? Please don't send me to the corner. There are spiders in the corner...and I hate spiders. They make me scream...and cry. You wouldn't wanna see Marlooney cry now, would you? No, I didn't think so. It ain't pretty. Man, I'd better shut it....I've got dozens more blogs to visit.

Old Kitty said...

Oh I am so SHAMED!!! I didn't get the orange and only got the lemon and limes!! Oh dear!! Shame, shame, shame on me!! LOL!!!

But thank you lovely BB for the fruit and nuts pics - you got their utter yumminess in glorious technicolour!!

Oooh what lovely flowers - thank you. I love the colours and the dew drops on the petals. Your fab pics always makes my Monday cheerier!

GOOD LUCK with your Blog Project - have a great week too!

I'm so jealous you have a lemon tree in your back yard!

I didn't realize I was supposed to guess the fruits. I just scrolled through to look at all of the pretties!

Pomegranates always look a little dirty to me. Makes me wonder if they were the forbidden fruit that Eve was supposed to keep her mouth off of.

And now they seem even more dirty.

Cheeseboy said...

Okay, I am a very innocent Utahn, where we don't have many fruit growing trees, but I have never in my life seen a macadamia tree. Pretty cool.
