Am I the only one that doesn't have a clue as to what one of those pictures is?

We love shopping for rocks and crystals- esp my oldest and my husband- OBSESSED.
For his talent show at school this year my monkey made a video of his crystal collection!
We do road trips that are mapped by where to mine and where to purchase.
Glad to be in like minded company.

Now that's my kind of shopping, I love shiny things.

Oh wow! You've captured their pristine colour and shapes in all their neanderthal beauty and mystery! These are ancient creatures that remind us of just what our planet is made of! They are natural treasures we should savour.

Thanks for these!

Take care

Here's what I love about visiting you, Betty. Each time, you make me feel like I'm a kid and it's the first time I've stopped at this candy store to take in each of the yummy things I see! It makes me yearn to learn to photograph like you do. I love the eye-popping colors, the macro looks at things. I leave your candy shop smiling every day! And I missed you when you were on vacation!!

My 10-year-old daughter goes nuts over those tables with all the different stones. Almost as fun as picking out candy!

Wow, these are great! I recall a few years ago when I took The Daughter to a rock museum, I got some nice pics of them...I will see if I can dig them up.

Love the shiny rocks!
But I want to know, how do they know that those rocks were once in a dinosaur?
I'm betting it's just a way to get 5 bucks from you ;o)

I LOVE me some rocks! The purple ones are downright purdy! But $5 for dinosaur gizzard stones? A bit much! Ha ha!

Marlene said...

Dinosaur gizzard stones?! I'm pretty sure I don't have any of those in my vast collection of pet rocks and such!

Hi BB

I love the third one from the bottom. That would make an awesome piece of graphic abstract art.
I also want to know how a buyer can verify that the rock they just bought was actually found in a dinosaurs gizzard. At $5 a rock, that's a pretty good snake oil pitch. - G

I so love when you post these types of photos. I can't explain why, I just do. Have a great weekend Miss Betty :)

Pretty pretty...so you place these rocks in a bowel and put them on display? I would!

Well it's about time we go shopping again and this was a fun trip. I love rocks and crystals. Next time we really should stop for lunch while we're shopping though.

I love stuff like this. When I was kid I was all about collecting most of those rocks I see in your pictures. I found them fascinating.
Thanks for taking me shopping. I don't get out much! :)

As you know my three year old daughter's passion is her "stones" - this shop would be just about heaven for her and I doubt I would ever get her to leave, at least not without taking half of it with her:-) Lovely photos as always, not sure I can show them to her for fear of inciting another trip to the stone shops!

I love rocks! I buy the same things, but I would not buy a dinosaur stone. Hello! That's gross!
