Field Trippin' With Betty

Seriously? You wouldn't leave me alone out there, would you?

Thank you for joining me here today. If I could have your attention for just a moment, I'd appreciate it.

As you know, from time to time, Betty backs up the bus and we all file in for a field trip.

Today Betty is featured on Kathie's blog, Just a Happy Housewife and I would be just thrilled if you'd join me there. Now, if everyone would just form a line and...

What is that? A question from the back?

Is this a mandatory field trip? Is it required? Is that what you've asked? Do we have to push on this easy and quick link over to Just a Happy Housewife to read Betty's fascinating and informative interview in which she discusses at length her followers and her undying devotion to them?

Well, no. It is not required.

Is bathing on a regular basis required?

Is voting required?

Is obeying the 12 items or fewer rule in the express lane at the grocery store required?

No, these actions are not mandatory, but they are recommended for those desiring to be decent and good human beings who are not scorned by the larger society.

So, you are all free to make your own decisions. I will not influence your choice in any way. Don't worry about my feelings. You do what makes YOU happy.

(Psst...look, if you just get on the bus and click on this link, I'll be really grateful and there might even be a cookie in it for you later. Thanks!)

Boy, oh boy, could I ever relate to the part about talking to non-bloggers about blogging! They just don't get it.

I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who gets that "look" when I talk about blogging to non bloggers. I can also relate to the need for an outlet to the creative side. My family just gives me the uh huh look whenever I show them something I made so it's nice to show things off on the blog and get positive reactions. I don't even care if they're just being nice, at least it's not an uh huh.
About those brown tunics, do you have a tailor to make them or would we need to make our own?

Old Kitty said...

Just to say oh mighty BB - that I'm a size 12 (European size 12 I hasten to add!!! That's like size zero US - hahahha! Kidding!!) on a good day and I hear brown tunics are so IN in this fickle fashion world of ours. Thank you.

;-)

Take care

Bet, my darling, you got me on the "Internet love" part!

Do you see how I feel to find SUDDEN working internet after no internet for a day??

I am like a hungry child eating eating with ten hands off the buffet table.

I will check it out, and then I want my cookie. No, you didn't influence me at all. I do it of my own free will.

Just so you know - you're better at that guilt thing than my parents ever were.

Thanks for the trip! I liked what you said over there about the connections you make with bloggers and how you sometimes think about them during the day wondering how they are doing. I do the same thing too! - G

Great interview! The field trip was fun too except for someone in the back who kept asking if we were there yet. :P

haha. I so understand talking to people that don't blog. You get so excited about a picture you took for your blog and they are all like, "and I care because". Because you twit, you would care if you blogged. Love your blog.

I'm visiting from Kathie's place. I really enjoyed reading your interview. Great blog. And I'm with you on the curse words, rabid politics and the cookies. :)

Thank you for the free ride over. I enjoyed the Kool-Aid.

You didn't serve Kool-Aid? Then who did? Gaaack.

Oh Betty! I wuv you!

Teacher, when I went potty, someone stole-ded my cookie. I think it was Pat, because he was staring at it when he spit out his lunch.
I liked the trip. It is true that we develop lots of BFF's this way that's hard for the outsiders to understand.
BTW, I referened you in my last post. It's very weird. Come over, but only if YOU want to.

Of course I clapped gleefully when I read, "the one who is pregnant." Then I thought, "Wait, is she *really* talking about me? Maybe she means Anti-Supermom! Or what if there are *other* pregnant women on here?!?"
Then I remembered you said something about cookies and I didn't care anymore.

Funky Mama Bird said...

Hhmm... What kind of cookie? ;)

Aging Mommy said...

But Betty, you know I am a rule bender and breaker :-)
Oh alright then seeing as it's you, just this once I will follow orders, but please don't tell my husband lest he think this is a general change in the scheme of things!

Daisy said...

Well I got on the bus, and I wore the brown tunic. Now I want a cookie! :D

Thanks for inviting me on the field trip. My visit here and there was fun as always. Have a great weekend, Betty! :)

Well I certainly don't want to be scorned by the larger society - I'll have to scoot right over! :)

Ms. Betty, you give great interviews!

Betty--

My mom shares the same name, so I told her to check your blog out. She thought it was very cute, but is not one to make any comments. One of those blog type stalkers without sending any blog love.

So a big "hello" from Nebraska. We love your name! ;)

I've always enjoyed a field trip, so I'm getting on the bus even though I'm a little late.

Anything for a cookie. I enjoyed the interview. What struck me is that when I tell people I blog they look at me with that "why doesn't she get a job" look. It makes me think that I should sit out on the street with a cup and sign that says "I blog." I could make some serious money.

After blogging for so long I have met so many wonderful bloggers out there that I consider as friends. It's a very cool sense of community.
