There is definitely something to be said for black and white photography. You prove it.

Beautiful Betty. You made that doughnut shop look so retro, like it is straight out of the 1950's. Just a work of art, those photos.

Very Nice Betty, I do like the black and white pictures, you just have to love the feelings and memories imbedded in those.

Betty, those are so beautifully nostalgic. They could've been taken in 1963....

Aw!! C'est Magnifique!!

But where's The Ccw??? Anyway the macaroni tubes are such an artform in themselves used like this! Did you do that? WOW!!!

As for these evocative pics of a donut place... brilliant! I love the emptiness - the torn seats - yet the counter gleams shiny and clean and neat. Albright's donuts indeed!

Thanks for sharing!

Take care

Here it is my day off and you put me smack dab in the middle of a donut shop. Oh well, at least today I'm on the other side of the counter...lol Love the shots, just something about a black and white photograph

Can't go wrong with black and white composits! The final frame in the post is my favorite. I'd love to enlarge that and hang it in my kitchen!

Great stuff!

Agree that the photos look like they could have been taken back in the 50s-60s. Made me hungry for a round, sugary treat!

Love the photos. I want to be you.
I showed Hubby and he asked where are the donuts!!! You can take the boy out of the donut, but you can't take the donut out of the boy.
Happy Saturday.

Cool, a nice change from chain stores.

Love your header too.. cool the way macaroni ends up all lined up.

I love doughnuts, but we don´t have them here, unless I make them myself! And then I have to eat the whole batch........so that doesn´t happen.
Love the retro feel of the pics.

And I want one...a doughnut that is! I have been craving one for weeks and been holding out.
So now you have gone and done it. I need to find a bakery soon!!

LOVE these, but LOVE YOUR Kraft Mac & Cheese MORE!

The one food my children would gobble up no matter: how irritated, how ill, how nonhungry.

Sigh. Ms. Organic and Slow Food did it. Yes. And am not one bit guilty.

I love the macaroni picture myself - just brilliant! But then I am not a doughnut fan at all, sorry but cupcakes are my thing, but your black and white photos make it look a very interesting place.

So cool! If we had a bitchen doughnut shop that was eclectic and fun like that, I would actually frequent it. Great shots!

Between the Mac N Cheese shot and the donut shots, I'm starving!!!

What great pics! We get so used to color that black and white shots make a huge impact.

Hey, where's your cow???

These photos are fantastic! I just love black and white photography. I used to take black and white photos of my kids, but it's been a long time since we've done that.

I would frame these!

I tried commenting this afternoon, but FiOS was updating... argh!!! *sigh*

I don't normally care for donuts, but while Mad and I were shopping early this morning, I spied the fresh donuts at the grocery store bakery. For a split second I thought about going and getting one to share with Madelyn. If I'd seen this post first, I probably would have done it. Phew!

I can't understand why nobody's there. They must be out of donuts.

These are great, Betty, right down to the torn vinyl chairs! I am wondering where this cool retro place is...and whether the donuts are decent.
