I LOVE those glass tiles. I so want to do my bathroom in those. Spa like - Zen. Ooh light green with forest green walls. Don't get me started.

LOVE these, Betty! Although, I admit, it suddenly makes me want to do a lot of home repair!! :)

Did we just go to Home Depot or Lowe's? Love the copper pipes! Once again, you have a great eye.

I personally like the first picture because I'm not sure what I am looking through.

Very Cool, B. What did we buy this trip?

Those are so cool! I remember pictures like that in kids' magazines when I was little, where you had to guess what the object was?

Ooh, you're just one follower away from 300! Congratulations! :)

It's great the way you spot the art in hardware/DIY items :-)

BB great pictures...well after I got over being dizzy on the first one. LOL

Mom and I think you were shopping at 'the honey hole'...that is what we call the Manstores like Lowe's, or any store with tools.

Awesome! HD or Lowes should use your photographs in an ad!

You make normal stuff look SO fun! Beautiful shots that made me smile :) :)

Seriously, you need to submit these photo series to Home Depot or Lowe's or some place and get yourself hired for their next campaign. Who else could make a hose look beautiful?!?! People would flock to their stores for sightseeing tours alone :-)

You would be a fun person to do just about anything with I think, including shopping. Such cool photos. :)

Those glass tiles are gorgeous! But what is that stack of blue things? I can't figure it out. - G

I have to say that after spending years seeing those items coming home with me...I won't go shopping with you. Giggle. But nice shots.

All I can say is, cool cool cool!
I like to take pictures at these shopping places too, but it doesn't 'look' good...
I was at a supermarket taking pictures of the cool colors and textures of fruit, veggies, and wine bottles, and management came up and asked me not to.
Everyone is so paranoid these days.

Fun, fun, fun! Love those pics!

Okay, those must be some crazy premium nails to warrant that kind of display!

Beautiful. I spent a few minutes at Home Depot yesterday and it didn't look nearly this pretty. You have a knack for finding beauty in unexpected places.

Love the Home Depot!

Your photos are gorgeous!

You make a hardware store look like a playground. I'd like to set you loose in a candy store!

Were you stuck at Lowe's during a downpour this week like I was? Thought I would just be in and out, but almost an hour later, I waded out to my car. That gave me a lot of browsing time, and I discovered all sorts of really cool things I never knew they made!

I just love how you find beauty in the rigidness and uniformity of industrial parphernalia of this modern world!

Take care

Home Improvement stores can be lots of fun. Of course with all the home improvements I need done they get very expensive too. So where we going shopping next?

Vodka Logic said...

Very cool. I like how you have made great pictures out of things most of us don't look at twice

Linda said...

Oh, how very arty. I enjoy taking photos in stores. I love all of these. My husband does too. Great work.

I really LOVE the pictures. Makes you look at things differently.

Joey @ Big Teeth and Clouds said...

A much more artistic impression of the home improvement stores than what I typically come away with!

The Empress said...

OK, now I need to know..why do you need all this stuff?

Katie's Dailies said...

Oh, I had fun trying to guess what all everything was! Like a game. You should do this more often and award a prize to the winner. ; )

Aut said...

Great series of pictures! I can see a beautiful backyard coming out of all of this...

Pat said...

So while you were at Home Depot, did you buy one of their great hot dogs? I figured you might have worked up an appetite after taking such great pictures!

Peggy K said...

This, to me, is what good photography is about. Finding the beauty in everyday things...copper pipes..that's everyday stuff, right?? I mean, who else would find the beauty in those nail-holder-downer things???

Susan Fields said...

You somehow managed to make garden hoses and buckets look pretty!

You know I wouldn't think to take pictures of these things, but every single one of them fascinates me. Great perspectives.

Must admit, I could spend hours in this kind of store. Not sure how you make the photos so darn interesting! Guess it is your amazing perspective. Great pics!

I can't believe you can make Home Depot products look so aesthetically pleasing. I find it one of the most dismal places in the universe.

Lindy MacDuff said...

Ooh, I like this! Colorful, yet orderly.
