Betty what an amazing opportunity to be able to take such wonderful pictures of mama hummer and her baby. We only have Ruby throated hummers in NC. Do you know what kind of hummer this is?

That is am AMAZING picture - you should enter this Betty for a photography competition it is just wonderful. That little chick is just thriving - so I imagine will soon be gone from the nest, in which case I shall miss seeing the photos of its progress.

gaaaaawsh i am loving keeping up with your hummingbirds, your photos are awesome...makes me really want a 'birding' lens. we have so many wonderful birds out here but my lenses will not bring me this close!
