Sunday Road Trip

Happy Sundays to All!
I thought I'd share some pictures I took on our short road trip last week.

This is a small lake in our county--Lake Piru. Who doesn't love a lake?

Here's a California shot for sure: a fir tree, some palm trees and two fully loaded orange trees.

In the distance were what passes for mountains around here.
I am not sure whether it was the time of day the season, the weather or just the light, but it looked like someone had poured tempera paint on them.
They won't stay like this for long, so it was a treat to see them like this.

Beautiful pictures. It snowed a few days ago here, but now it is warm. So everything is sort of slushy and brown. Definitely not pretty.

I have a blog award for you today over at my place!

Ahh, love the green mountains. This time of year (well, usually isn't more like May?) when we have green mountains is my favorite. There are areas around that remind me of Oz. Much of my drive down the hill is colored by what appear to be purple freesia.

Gorgeous photos! I love that lake! And it doesn't look too small to me!

Wait? You took these? Great eye. We're both on trips. Still think you'd be a fun Thelma or Louise. Safe travels!

Beautiful shots!! It seems like such a crime that I have never seen an orange tree with fruit on it! My mom as a small orange tree that she brings inside during the winter...but as far as I know it had never bore fruit. Thanks for sharing!

I lived in California for years and I have no idea where that is.

Your comment on the third photo intrigues me, "...what passes for mountains around here." Coming from flat Indiana, these sure pass for mountains in my book! LOL! I'm happy just to find a hill around here.

Beautiful photos! Thank you for visiting my blog and also for being a follower. =D
